Handcrafted Amboyna Burl Pen
Experience the pinnacle of natural artistry with this handcrafted Amboyna Burl Pen. This pen is hand-turned from authentic Amboyna Burl, one of the world’s most sought-after and rare hardwoods. Sourced from the forests of Indonesia, this wood is celebrated for its tight, “bird’s-eye” grain and deep reddish-brown swirls. I’ve finished the wood with more than a dozen layers of cyanoacrylate and then polished the pen to a mirror shine. To complement the warmth of the burl, I paired it with sleek gunmetal accents. The result is a sophisticated, modern aesthetic that feels substantial in the hand and striking on the desk.

The Fountain Pen: Featuring a smooth-writing FPR #5.5 nib. Perfect for those who appreciate the soul of traditional correspondence. Includes a Schmidt piston converter for bottled ink and also accepts standard international cartridges.
Rollerball Pen
This pen uses rollerball style refills. Therefore I recommend the Schmidt 5888 ink refills (Amazon Affiliate Link), which are widely available through Amazon and other retailers. To change the ink refill, simply unscrew the metal section underneath the cap, and mind not to misplace the spring in the bottom of the pen.
Keep the cap on when the pen is not in use to prevent the ink from drying out.
Fountain Pen
This fountain pen will accept short international standard ink cartridges (Amazon Affiliate link), and also comes with a Schmidt piston converter so you can also use any bottled fountain pen ink. To access the converter or ink cartridge, gently unscrew the metal section behind the nib.
This pen comes equipped with a #5.5 Fountain Pen Revolution nib, known for its smooth writing.
The nib itself is Chrome plated.
Your pen comes with a Medium Point Nib (.65mm). but if you prefer a Fine (.5 mm) or Broad (.75 mm) nib, please indicate this in the comments section when you place your order.

Should I happen to be out of stock on a particular item, I could make a similar one for you as long as I have the materials on hand (and I try to keep materials on hand). Care Instructions
To make sure your Handcrafted Amboyna Burl Pen lasts for years, follow these simple care instructions.
First, protect the pen from its environment. The pen is made from durable natural materials, but it can still react to extreme conditions. For this reason, avoid exposing your pen to harsh chemicals or extreme temperatures, and don’t leave it in a car on a hot day. Similarly, avoid storing the pen in a humid basement. While the finish is designed to protect the pen, extreme heat, cold, humidity, and sunlight can all negatively impact its appearance and integrity. However, if you keep your pen indoors in a climate-controlled environment, I reasonably expect you will not encounter any problems for the lifetime of your pen.
Additionally, store and clean your pen properly. When you aren’t using the pen, store it in the provided gift box or a protective pen sleeve to preserve its finish. Finally, periodically clean your pen with a soft, damp cloth.
