This bespoke Maple Burl fountain pen showcases nature’s most celebrated grain patterns. I select premium stabilized burl for its vibrant reddish-brown colors. Stabilization ensures the wood remains dense and moisture-resistant for a lifetime of use. I hand-turn each barrel to a balanced shape that highlights the wood’s natural swirls.
To protect the grain, I apply a meticulous 10-step finish. I polish the surface to a mirror-like shine to create a durable, glass-clear barrier. This finish acts as a lens, magnifying the grain’s depth and inner glow. The wood is accented by sleek black-titanium components for a bold, modern contrast. And most importantly, the pen features a German-engineered #6 JoWo medium nib. This nib is world-renowned for its smooth ink flow and professional consistency. I craft every detail to ensure a flawless experience for serious writers and collectors alike.

Ink Refill
This fountain pen will accept short international standard ink cartridges, and also comes with a high quality Schmidt piston converter so you can use any bottled fountain pen ink. To refill the ink, simply unscrew the metal section behind the nib.

If I am out of stock on a particular item, I can make a similar one for you as long as I have the materials on hand (which I try to keep stocked). Care Instructions
To make sure your Maple Burl Fountain Pen lasts for years, follow these simple care instructions.
First, protect the pen from its environment. Wood is a durable, natural material, but it can still react to extreme conditions. For this reason, avoid exposing your pen to harsh chemicals or extreme temperatures, and don’t leave it in a car on a hot day. Similarly, avoid storing the pen in a humid basement. While the finish is designed to protect the pen, extreme heat, cold, humidity, and sunlight can all negatively impact its appearance and integrity. However, if you keep your pen indoors in a climate-controlled environment, I reasonably expect you will not encounter any problems for the lifetime of your pen.
Additionally, store and clean your pen properly. When you aren’t using the pen, store it in the provided gift box or a protective pen sleeve to preserve its finish. Finally, periodically clean your pen with a soft, damp cloth.
