Ink Refill
This pen uses Parker Style ballpoint ink refills. Ballpoint pens use oil-based ink that resists evaporation and offers exceptional longevity. For a superior experience, I personally recommend the Schmidt EasyFLOW 9000 ink refills, which are widely available on Amazon and through other retailers.

To access the ink refill, simply unscrew the metal section at the point. Around the neck of the refill you will find a spring, which transfers onto the new refill before reassembly.

Should I happen to be out of stock on a particular item, I could make a similar one for you as long as I have the materials on hand (and I try to keep materials on hand). Care Instructions
To make sure your Spalted Tamarind Ballpoint Pen lasts for years, follow these simple care instructions.
First, protect the pen from its environment. Wood is a durable, natural material, but it can still react to extreme conditions. For this reason, avoid exposing your pen to harsh chemicals or extreme temperatures, and don’t leave it in a car on a hot day. Similarly, avoid storing the pen in a humid basement. While the finish is designed to protect the pen, extreme heat, cold, humidity, and sunlight can all negatively impact its appearance and integrity. However, if you keep your pen indoors in a climate-controlled environment, I reasonably expect you will not encounter any problems for the lifetime of your pen.
Additionally, store and clean your pen properly. When you aren’t using the pen, store it in the provided gift box or a protective pen sleeve to preserve its finish. Finally, periodically clean your pen with a soft, damp cloth.
