This custom fountain pen is a truly unique writing instrument. The body is crafted from a piece of beautifully figured Redwood Burl, a wood prized for its intricate grain patterns. To enhance its natural beauty and durability, the wood was stabilized, a process that makes it dense and strong, and then meticulously hand-turned. The result is a smooth, comfortable body with a stunning, glass-like finish from ten polished coats of cyanoacrylate.
To complement the rich, warm wood, the pen is fitted with elegant antique silver-plated components. The heart of the pen is a smooth, German-made #6 JoWo Nib with a medium point, widely recognized for its excellent, consistent ink flow and exceptional writing feel. This is a pen that not only looks incredible but also provides a superior writing experience.
Ink Refill
This fountain pen will accept short international standard ink cartridges, and also comes with a converter pump so you can use any bottled fountain pen ink. To refill the ink, simply unscrew the metal section behind the nib.

A $4.50 shipping charge is automatically applied when ordering this product. If you’re in the State College, PA, area, you can choose “local pickup” at checkout to avoid shipping fees.

If you don’t see the item that you were hoping to purchase listed here, please contact me. Should I happen to be out of stock on a particular item, I could make a similar one for you as long as I have the materials on hand (and I try to keep materials on hand). Fortunately it would only take about 2 weeks to complete an item and get it ready for mailing or pickup once payment has been completed. Thanks!
Care Instructions
To ensure the longevity of your Redwood Burl Fountain Pen, please avoid exposing it to extreme temperatures or harsh chemicals. When not in use, store it in the provided gift box or a protective pen sleeve to preserve its finish. Clean periodically with a soft damp cloth.
