Handmade Red Boxwood Burl Fountain Pen – Unique Item No. 0432
This custom fountain pen was handmade using red-dyed Boxelder Burl. The wood shows a dramatic knot containing several ‘eyes’. Once turned on the lathe, I finished the wood using a combination of walnut oil, shellac and synthetic wax, giving it a warm soft shine while maintaining the feel and texture of a hardwood pen. The metal components are plated in black nickel. The pen has a #6 medium point Jowo steel nib.
INK REFILL: This fountain pen will accept short international standard ink cartridges, and also comes with a converter pump so you can use any bottled fountain pen ink. To refill the ink, simply unscrew the metal section behind the nib.
Each of my handmade pens comes in a handsome Waddle Woodturnings gift box.
