This maple burl ballpoint pen is handcrafted from natural burl, a material I choose for the intricate, swirling grain patterns and “eyes” found deep within the wood. To ensure the pen remains durable for a lifetime of use, the wood is vacuum-stabilized to harden it while preserving its original color and character. I then apply ten individual layers of finish, polishing the surface to a glass-like shine that brings out the natural depth and golden detail of the grain.
Beyond its looks, this pen is built for daily use. The metal components give it a weight not found in plastic pens. This design features a diamond-textured metal band that makes it easy to grip and comfortable to hold for long periods. Finished with a sturdy, elegant clip, it’s a reliable writing tool that combines the raw beauty of nature with a clean, professional feel.

Ballpoint Pen
The ballpoint pens operate by twisting the body of the pen to advance and retract the Parker Style ink refills. I recommend the EasyFLOW 9000, which are available for sale through this website (also widely available through Amazon and other retailers0.To access the ink refill, simply unscrew the front of the pen near the point and transfer the spring onto the new refill.

Accordingly, the pen you receive will be very similar, but not necessarily the exact item in the photos. I’m happy to share a picture of the exact item upon request. Care Instructions
To make sure your Maple Burl Ballpoint Pen lasts for years, follow these simple care instructions.
First, protect the pen from its environment. The pen is made from naturally durable materials, but it can still react to extreme conditions. For this reason, avoid exposing your pen to harsh chemicals or extreme temperatures, and don’t leave it in a car on a hot day. Similarly, avoid storing the pen in a humid basement. While the finish is designed to protect the pen, extreme heat, cold, humidity, and sunlight can all negatively impact its appearance and integrity. However, if you keep your pen indoors in a climate-controlled environment, I reasonably expect you will not encounter any problems for the lifetime of your pen.
Additionally, store and clean your pen properly. When you aren’t using the pen, store it in the provided gift box or a protective pen sleeve to preserve its finish. Finally, periodically clean your pen with a soft, damp cloth.
